Leave Room for Something Good.

Good morning, friends.

The Moment

In the galley, while one meal is being served, another is already being prepared. There is always something asking for my attention.

I cannot always wait for a quiet moment to arrive. It is my responsibility to make room for one: a few minutes to sit, look across the water, or enjoy something simply because I like it.

One Useful Thought

When every moment is filled with work or worry, something good can pass unnoticed: a conversation, a view across the water, or the satisfaction of a job well done.

Making room for enjoyment does not require a whole afternoon. Sometimes a few minutes are enough to give our attention to something that restores us.

Not every open moment needs to become another task.

One Question Worth Carrying.

"What is one simple thing I enjoy that I could make room for today?"

The One-Degree Turn

Set aside five minutes today for something you enjoy. Listen to a song, step outside, or sit quietly with your coffee.

Let the next task wait for those few minutes. Give yourself time to enjoy the moment before moving on.

Fair winds,

Chef Martin
