Why Boarding Pass 365 Exists
It grew slowly over many years through questions, failures, small victories, and a persistent desire to become a better person.
I’m not a psychologist.
I’m not a behavioral scientist.
I’m a galley chef.

Most of my professional life has been spent in kitchens and aboard ships, preparing meals for others. But outside of work, another journey was quietly unfolding, a far more personal one.
For years, I was trying to understand myself.
Why did I keep repeating behaviors I knew were hurting me?
Why was lasting change so difficult?
Why could I understand what I should do, yet still struggle to become the person I wanted to be?
Those questions became an obsession.
Although I have no formal academic qualifications in psychology or behavioral science, I devoted years to studying them. I read books, explored research papers, listened to experts, examined different schools of thought, and searched anywhere I thought another piece of the puzzle might exist.

I wasn’t studying to earn a degree.
I was studying because I needed answers.
Like many people, I experienced seasons of life where I felt lost, trapped by habits I couldn’t seem to escape, and wondering whether lasting peace was even possible.
There were dark chapters.
More than once, I wondered if I would ever become the person I believed I could be.
But for reasons I still struggle to explain, I never completely gave up.
I kept searching.
That thought became
Boarding Pass 365.
The missing piece wasn’t more knowledge. It was finding practical ways to turn knowledge into lasting change.
The missing piece was implementation.
Knowing what to do and consistently doing it are two very different things.
I began experimenting with practical systems that could bridge the gap between understanding and action. I tested ideas, refined them, discarded what didn’t work, and slowly built processes that helped transform concepts into daily habits.

Each new idea led to another question.
Each book opened another door.
Each small victory convinced me there had to be a practical path forward.
Eventually, something became clear.
The greatest obstacle wasn’t a lack of information.
The world is full of information.

That’s when real change finally began.
Not overnight.
Not in a dramatic breakthrough.
But slowly.
Quietly.
One decision at a time.
One habit at a time.
One day at a time.
Over the years, I realized that building a better life isn’t an event with an arrival date.
It isn’t a straight line.
It is an ongoing process of learning, adjusting, practicing, failing, beginning again, and gradually moving farther from the person we used to be while becoming a little closer each day to the person we were meant to become.

Time is not the enemy of transformation.
Time is one of its essential ingredients.
As my own life gradually changed, I began recording everything I was learning.
At first, it wasn’t meant for the public.
I simply wanted to leave something meaningful for my sons as they began navigating adulthood, something I wish I had been given years earlier.
A practical guide.
Not another collection of inspiring ideas.
A navigation system.
As those notes continued to grow, so did another thought.
If these lessons had helped me find direction after years of searching, perhaps they could help someone else who wakes up feeling as lost as I once did.
This isn’t a place built around one person’s expertise.
It’s built around one person’s lifelong search.
I’m still learning.
I’m still discovering.
I’m still replacing old habits with better ones.
Today, Boarding Pass 365 is the result of that journey. It brings together daily reflections, Waypoints, Navigation Charts, practical implementation tools, and years of continuous learning into one living navigation system.
Everything exists for one purpose:
Helping people move from understanding to action, one intentional step at a time.

I’m still navigating.
I don’t claim to have all the answers.
I simply want to share the charts that have helped me find calmer waters, in the hope they might help someone else navigate their own journey.
I’m still on that journey myself.
I’m inviting you to sail alongside me.
Welcome aboard.

Before Boarding Pass 365 became a project, it was a personal necessity that originated a lifelong search.

I am not standing on the shore pointing the way. I am navigating the same waters.
